“Conversano between history and legends”

  • Monstrum Apuliae – Conversano during the middle ages – “get lost in the alleys and towers will be a truly magical experience that will make you relive the medieval atmosphere”. The excursion “Monstrum Apuliae” consists of a medieval path in the heart of Conversano where you can visit the Norman Castle, the Monastery of St. Benedict and the Romanesque Cathedral. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old town to discover the Casal Nuovo and the Casal Vecchio. The tour concerns an itinerary of 1h and 30 min (Ticket at the Museum not included);
  • The Guercio of Puglia– Conversano  during the Baroque – You will literally be taken away by the imagination, audacity, oddity and the richness of the decorations. The excursion “The Guercio of Puglia” is a Baroque path in the historic centre of Conversano with the visit of the paintings of Paolo Finoglio,  the Monastery of St. Benedict, the Church of San Cosma e Damiano and the Carmine Church. The tour concerns an itinerary of 1h and 30 min (Ticket at the Museum not included);
  • Marchione – Conversano out of town – “An exciting journey among history, art and nature”. The excursion “Marchione” is a path that begins in the heart of Conversano with a nice walk in the old town and ends at the Marchione Castle and at the Church of St. Maria dell’Isola, a few miles from Conversano. The tour concerns an itinerary of 2h (Ticket at the Museum not included).

 

“Discovering the Valle d’Itria between trulli, farmhouses and villages”

  • Guided tour to Alberobello (Unesco World Heritage) walking through the streets of “Aia Piccola and Rione Monti”, entrance to the Church of Saints Cosma and Damiano, the Sovereign Trullo, the Church of St. Anthony and Casa D’Amore. At the end of the tour we will have a wine-tasting at  the Wine Museum. The tour concerns an itinerary of 2h (transfer not included);
  • Guided tour to Locorotondo, inserted in the circuit “The most beautiful villages in Italy”. Walk through the streets of the old town, where you can see the main Cathedral, the Palazzo Comunale and Palazzo Morelli. (transfer not included);
  • Tour in the beautiful Martina Franca, between the streets of the old town where you can visit the Arch of St. Antonio, Palazzo Ducale and the wonderful Basilica di San Martino. The tour concerns an itinerary of 1h, (transfer not included)

 

“St. Nicholas between myth and reality”

  • Guided tour among the narrow streets of “Bari Vecchia”, walking through Piazza Ferrarese, Piazza Mercantile and the historical city centre until you reach the Basilica of San Nicola and the Norman Swabian Castle. At the end you will be fascinated by the visit of the characteristic “Orecchiette lane”.
